Dear Families and Windsor Farm Staff,

The PTO welcomes you to the 2023-2024 school year!  The Windsor Farm PTO will be continuing its legacy of excellent service to the community.  The PTO shares responsibility for making your child’s experience at WFE an enriched and nurturing one.  The PTO plans events that are enjoyed by the entire school community and raises funds to pay for key programs.

It costs $15 to join the PTO ($5 for teachers and staff). This $15 goes towards our General Fund that is used to pay for things such as field trips, classroom needs, and playground equipment.  Joining the PTO simply means paying $15 and registering in our membership portal.  Please consider writing a check, paying in cash, or online for this membership due.

We have changed the registration and communication platform this year to Membership Toolkit! We are excited about this improvement for our community.  Everyone will need to register as a new user.  We will also be phasing out our current website WindsorFarmPTO.org, and utilizing Toolkit for this resource. Go to windsorfarmpto.membershiptoolkit.com to register for the PTO.

Volunteering is always welcome! It is vital to our organization.  We provide for programs and equipment, and organize community events that are enjoyed each year.  Volunteers make these events happen, and provide the leg work that produces the money.  This money is then directly applied to improving the experience at Windsor Farm Elementary.

It is clear to see the importance of the PTO at Windsor Farm, and the importance of family involvement.  The PTO is entirely responsible for  all landscaped areas, the Yearbook, Spirit Wear, Spirit Nights, Book Fairs, the dance, Movie Nights, and Bowling Night.  The PTO annually provides full time teachers with a $100 stipend, part time teachers with a $50 stipend, and funds 5th grade Promotion.

In the Fall of 2021, the PTO bought over $7,500 of musical instruments for WFE’s Band and Strings Programs.  This past Summer, around $27,000 was spent on improvements to the Media Center, just under $17,000 was spent converting chalkboards to whiteboards in every classroom, and over $3,000 was spent on updating outdoor seating areas.  The PTO provides $500 to every grade level PK-4 for Field trips. The PTO pays $3,000 for the 5th Graders to enjoy Junior Achievement Biztown, and $2,500 towards the 5th grade Field Trip.  $1,000-$2,000 is annually spent on landscaping services.

The PTO will meet four times this year, with the first meeting on September 18th at 7pm. Please join our Facebook page “WindsorFarmPTO'' to stay updated.

Thank you,

Charlotte Byrd, WFE PTO President
